We offer a variety of programs for children from birth to age 12. Storytimes for preschool aged children include age-appropriate stories, rhymes, songs and activities designed by library professionals to help develop literacy skills and a love of reading. We also provide book-based craft and activity programs for school aged children throughout the year and summer reading clubs for all ages.

Maker Mondays

In the year of Canada's 150th birthday, the TD Summer Reading Club invites kids to celebrate what makes books, libraries and Canada great, by encouraging them to open up to new ideas, new characters, now landscapes, and to one another. So, look forward to some great illustrations, book recommendations, ideas, and fun with 2017 TD Summer Reading Club. Salut!This summer, kids are encouraged to escape their every day, step outside their ordinary and seek the unknown and untamed through reading. Whether it's outdoors, outrageous or out of bounds, the unexplored is calling and with the TD Summer Reading Club and an unleashed imagination, kids can let go and find their wild this summer. All kids receive an activity/reading logbook filled with fun reading activities when they register. Kids can roll the die to find great books to read, earn lots of prizes and collect stickers. Join Captain Wolfie's pirate crew on a summer-long reading treasure hunt. Play our pirate game to search for scrolls that will lead you to the hidden treasure. Kids will be paired with our pirate youth volunteers to practice reading, complete their scrolls, play fun literacy games, and earn prizes.
