If we have your email address, we will send you two (2) email reminders: one will be sent 3 days before the item is due and the second will be sent on the day the item is due. These reminders can help to keep your overdue fines low by allowing enough time to renew or return material before items become overdue.
If we have your email address, we will email you two (2) overdue notices: one will be sent 5 days after the item is due and the second will be sent 12 days after the item is due. Any further notices will be paper notices sent by mail.
We will notify all customers without email addresses by mail. The first mailed overdue notice will be sent if an item is overdue for more than 14 days. A second overdue notice will be mailed if an item remains overdue for more than 21 days.
A Final Notice will be mailed to all customers if an item remains overdue for more than 36 days. The Final Notice will include a bill for the missing item plus a processing fee, in addition to any accrued overdue fines.
If items remain overdue for more than 60 days, the Library reserves the right to refer customers to an outside collection agency to assist in recouping material and fines.
