Text: 1.1.5.3 -3-. (8) Plan No. 10. (Telescope) Titcomb reports that the final lenses are ready and he is to make trials during the coming week of the telescope at one of the sea ports. (9) New Members. Messrs. A. A. Kelsey, C. K. Crane, Serge Ivanoff and S. C. Colton. (10) Secretary read letter written to Consul General Skinner regarding Enquiry No. 2. ( suggestions for disseminating American propaganda in Russia) suggesting to approach the principal newspapers, Cinematograph Companies, American Commercial firms, principal Russian Banks, Anglo-Russian Mining Companies, and most import- ant of all the Russian Department of Agriculture, which could disseminate propa- ganda through the Zemetvo Department to the village Starostas or headmen. Also suggestions that a census of young men in the U.S. speaking Russian arid familiar with the country be taken who could personally disseminate information regarding the attitude of the American people towards the Russians and expressing their de- sire to help them in fighting the common enemy. Any suggestions in regard to this matter are urgently called for, to be handed either directly to the Consul General, or to the Secretary’of this Committee. The nest General Meeting will be held on Thursday, July 5th, at 5p.m., at 6 Copthall Avenue, E.C., instead of on Wednesday, the 4th, as these offices will be closed on that day.. C. W. Purington Hon.
